Fundraising Muddy Rose Pottery is "not just a clay studio."

Muddy Rose Pottery provides the means for experiencing a stress free, therapeutic journey in clay. Creating a masterpiece on the pottery wheel using one's unique inner vision, equipped with a toolset of hands and fingers, leaves the artist with a sense of pride and gratification. While we welcome all families, groups and organizations, we are dedicated to Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilites such as autism. Working in clay promotes communication and socialization and is a calm, soothing approach in providing sensory stimulation. Clay building encourages hand/eye coordination, develops fine motor skills, and encompasses all five senses. Here at Muddy Rose Pottery, we prove that "mud is not just for making beautiful pottery." Call and schedule your visit today, you won't be sorry!

🌹I’m in my own little world while I’m creating. The clay is mesmerizing as it takes over my stressful thoughts and magically turns them into one huge, self gratifying, ego boost when I see what developed in front of my very own eyes!!
🌹Yep, truth be told, it’s been 19 years and I’m still a clay addict !!🤭🥳❤️
🌹Call me at the studio 724-888-9687 and schedule your clay class, it just might be what the doctor ordered!!

🌹When I left for my MRP studio yesterday it was raining and my 1 yr old, Clay, was mesmerized while watching out the window. Little did I know he had something in mind.
🌹While I’m busy playing in my mud, throwing my Special Olympic’s bowls,
Clay was at home throwing a few things too… . HIMSELF / into mud puddles!!! 😂 He was enjoying the downpour as he was rolling in the mud with his toy bone. ❤️
🌹I know, I know - the apple doesn’t fall far ——- is this even possible ?? 🤷‍♀️🤣

🌹 Running a small business is incredibly rewarding, but sometimes the biggest lessons come the hard way.
Hopefully, through this post I can educate other vendors to protect themselves, and avoid the recent, disappointing situation I’ve just experienced.
🌹 Artists and makers put their heart and soul into their work — protecting that work matters !!! If you are considering becoming a vendor in someone’s shop or marketplace, here are a few tips that may be beneficial to you:
🤔Read your lease very carefully and every page !
🤔Make sure the lease clearly states when you will be paid after an item sells.
🤔Ensure there is documentation showing the date your item sold.
🤔Keep your own detailed inventory records; know when items are dropped off for restock or removed.
🤔Learn how your sales are recorded and by what means they will be reported to you.
🤔❗️HAVE CLARITY in the terms and conditions for your deposit to be refunded to you . Vendors have been robbed of their deposit even after abiding to all rules stated in their lease. It’s very easy for shops to make up their own rules when it comes to your deposit being returned. 😡
🤔Keep documentation showing you followed the lease requirements when vacating.
🤔Clarify what happens if the shop closes or ownership changes.
🤔Communicate immediately in writing with any questions or concerns regarding shops late payments on your sales.
🤔After leaving a vendor space, be sure your business name is removed from the shops website, or social media if you can no longer be affiliated with that business.
🤔Seek legal representation if an honest attempt to collect monies owed you from deposits or sales is unsuccessful.
🌹Small businesses supporting small businesses is a beautiful thing, and many vendor spaces are run by owners with integrity. Sadly,
You may encounter businesses that are not transparent, so you have to follow your gut, do some research before you lease, and most importantly, know your worth as an Artist!
🌹If my lengthy post helps even one Artist vendor, It was worth the effort. Any vendor out there with a story ??

🌹 What started as hands in clay on the pottery wheel and gatherings with MRP Woman’s Group, slowly became conversations, laughter, prayer, and a beautiful friendship I will forever remember and cherish. ❤️
🌹 Pat was just beginning to find herself creatively — she was discovering what her hands could do, what her heart could express, and more importantly, how this process could melt away her stress and hidden pain.
🌹Watching Pat grow more confident at the wheel was her gift to me . There was something so special about seeing her light up when I would tell her, “ You are doing an amazing job” / she never believed she was that good !!🌹Clay starts conversations. It breaks down walls. It has a magical way of connecting people/ as Pat and I did.
Clay - that messy, honest, patient clay - brought out the best in my friend Pat.
🌹 I will always cherish Our special time in the studio, with clay covered hands on our coffee cups, laughing over crazy nothings, your unsuccessful attempts to
out wit me, your ego boosts - “Janelle, I know you can make this “ - saving me pictures of pottery in a magazine 😂
🌹Pat, thank you for all your beautiful words of encouragement- just last night I threw that pottery piece you had shown me, and It went amazingly well, You stinker, you were right !!
🌹Thank you for sharing your laughter, creativity and your courage, with our MRP family. There will always be “ a special seat” at our table and your priceless, last bowl we created together, will be a treasured piece at Muddy Rose Pottery !
🌹Save me a spot at that golden pottery wheel my friend!!❤️🙏
