But first, You.
I became interested in Massage Therapy while working in the medical sector. My husband is a Veteran, and as I watched his years and years of physically abusing deployments take their toll, I wanted to be able to offer him some relief. I focused on as many pain-based modalities and techniques as I could. However, along the way I learned that not all pain comes from dramatic things. We sit at desks all day, we work in bent and uncomfortable positions, we sacrifice ourselves for our jobs, our families, our kids...and often forget to take time to just care for ourselves. That was my slow revelation. We ignore our own needs so often and let ourselves get to a point we often need help to recover. So I opened a business. I brought on peers who have a similar reason to be therapists, and a set of complementary skills and techniques. I constantly look for better ways to help my community, my neighbors, and my loved ones. I believe everyone can benefit from some form of hands on therapy and my goal is to introduce it to people who desire to find better ways to maintain their lives.
