Last evening, Dr. Robinson and Dr. Parrent spent time leading a hands-on suturing workshop with our medical students — sharing not just surgical skills, but the wisdom, patience, and encouragement that come with years of experience.

Moments like these remind us that teaching is one of the greatest gifts in medicine. The next generation of providers is learning from the very best, and we’re so grateful for leaders like Dr. Robinson and Dr. Parrent who pour their hearts into helping others grow.

Jennie Stuart Urology recently adopted the MOSES 2.0 holmium laser technology that utilizes a pulse modulation technique to improve the efficiency of stone and enlarge prostate (BPH) treatments. The MOSES laser is widely utilized for treating kidney stones with ureteroscopy as well as mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy (Mini-PCNL).

This milestone highlights our commitment to innovation, excellence, and enhancing patient care.

The Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) has recently been established here at Jennie Stuart. Dr. Billingham will utilize the MOSES laser technology to perform HoLEP, which is a minimally invasive surgical method to address BPH, a prevalent condition among older males resulting in urinary symptoms. Laser enucleation removes excess tissue allowing urine to freely flow through the prostate, which relieves symptoms. One of the benefits of HoLEP lies in its effectiveness with patients on anticoagulants, those with larger prostates and patients with persistant symptoms after a previous procedure such as UruoLift, Rszum, or TURP.
