🗣️ Testimony Tuesday - National Diabetes Month
Richard thought he was healthy until a small injury revealed undiagnosed diabetes and high blood pressure. At Trinity Health Center, he received the care, labs and guidance that gave him hope and a healthier future.
This National Diabetes Month, we’re reminded that early care saves lives. Preventive care isn’t just about health; it’s about dignity, hope, and the chance to live fully.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month
At Trinity Health Center, we’re shining a light on a disease that affects millions. 37 million Americans are living with diabetes, and 1 in 5 don’t even know it.
Men, you’re more likely to develop type 2 diabetes at a lower weight than women. Carrying extra fat around your midsection increases your risk and when diabetes isn’t managed, it can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, or even amputation. Women, diabetes can also lead to heart disease, vision loss, kidney disease, and depression.
Certain groups, including African American, Hispanic/Latina, American Indian/Alaska Native, and Asian/Pacific Islander men and women, are at higher risk. But early testing and care can make all the difference!
💙 We offer on-site lab testing like A1c to give you answers quickly and help you take control of your health. Trinity Health Center serves the working uninsured of DeSoto County, offering compassionate, Christ-centered care for the body, mind, and spirit. We’d love to welcome you as a new patient! A Space Designed With Her in Mind 💗
At Trinity Health Center, we’re celebrating the opening of our brand-new Women’s Health Exam Room, a space intentionally and prayerfully created for our female patients. This room was designed to provide comfort, dignity, and peace, with enough space for mothers to bring their children when needed. Every detail reflects our heart to care for the whole person; body, mind, and spirit.
We’re so grateful for our first patient who helped us open this special room and for the staff who prayed over and prepared it with love.
If you’re a woman in DeSoto County without insurance and need quality, compassionate care, we’re here for you.

🤩 Volunteer Voices | Meet Brittaney
When Brittaney prayed for a place to serve, God led her right around the corner to Trinity Health Center. Since 2023, Brittaney has volunteered her time and heart, discovering that ministry doesn’t just happen from a pulpit it happens in every patient interaction. “There’s not many workplaces where you pour out and get poured back into. Trinity is the one place I know of where I’ve gotten both.”
Through serving at Trinity, Brittaney has seen God move in powerful ways; healing not just bodies, but hearts and souls too. “If you volunteer here, you will be changed.”
Join Brittaney and others who are making a lasting difference in the lives of our patients.

Early Detection Saves Lives 💗
At Trinity Health Center, our Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention Program helps women access preventative screenings and care, including mammograms, ultrasounds, and personalized risk assessments.
Did you know?
👉 Screening every 2 years can reduce breast cancer deaths by 26% for women aged 50–74.
👉 The 5-year survival rate for breast cancer detected early is 99%, compared to 32% for advanced-stage detection.

Best practices:
1. Annual or biennial mammograms starting at age 40 for average-risk women.
2. Early risk assessments by age 25 for high-risk individuals.
3. Monthly breast self-awareness to recognize changes and advocate for your health.
Through our BCPP, Trinity can also provide vouchers for mammograms and connect patients with local screening resources, helping women across DeSoto County take charge of their health.
💗 Schedule your preventative care appointment today and give yourself the gift of early detection. (662) 830-3827

💙 Month by Month, Hope Grows!
Richard didn’t have insurance or a primary care doctor, and years without care put his health at risk. After a hand injury led him to the Emergency Room, he was referred to Trinity Health Center. During his first visit, our team ran labs, discovered he had Diabetes and high blood pressure, and created a personalized plan of care, all in one appointment.
“As most young adults do, he thought he was healthy and didn’t need preventative care,” shared Nurse Practitioner Pam. Richard’s story is not unique, many patients come to Trinity after years without care. Each visit reminds us that prevention saves lives, stabilizes families, and strengthens our community.
Our monthly supporters help make this critical ongoing care possible.
