Through a wonderful partnership with Updyke's Willow Ridge Quality Care Facility, students are gaining hands-on work-based learning experience while providing monthly manicures for residents. 💖
This opportunity not only sharpens their practical skills, but also builds soft skills, confidence, and time management—all while spreading joy to the residents they pamper. 🌸
It’s been a fulfilling experience for both our students and the Willow Ridge community—and we can’t wait to see the smiles continue month after month!

The Hornell Wildwood Boces Cosmetology students came to our facility today to give the residents manicures. The students need so many hours of training to be certified. Not only will these students get hands on experience, the residents get to be pampered. It's such a nice thing for our community

KC'S Produce donated garden fresh broccoli and Beets to our facility. We will vacuum seal these for the winter months for our residents. We at Updyke's are very thankful 🙏

We have exciting news!!

Starting this fall, Cosmetology students from The Hornell/Wildwood Boces will be coming to our facility once a month to do manicures for our residents! They will bring their manicure supplies, polish and color their nails.

The students need to have so many hours to get their certification and what a great way for them to practice and get acquainted with the residents.

We are grateful to have this opportunity in our community and we hope to have great memories for these kids with the residents.

It also helps bring the community together
