The rainbows were made one at a time with me. We did one swipe of glue colored paper at a time. The clouds were cotton balls that they pulled apart.

This activity worked color recognition.
Small and fine motor skills
squeezing the glue
pulling apart the cotton balls
picking up the paper
putting it in the glue

The tricky Leprechaun brought the kids a surprise. A large Alphabet puzzle. Only every single letter was wrapped in foil.

It took the kids 45 mins to open all of puzzle pieces. You wouldn’t think foil would make those little fingers work so hard but you would be surprised.

This worked their fine motor skills and letter recognition with phonics mixed in there.

When we can’t go outside the kids love when we break out the rice. Using the kiddie pool has been the best addition to the rice. No more of me stressing about them trying to keep it over the container. It’s also one of the easiest clean ups now.

The best part, the kids love to help set the pool up. It isn’t easy to work as a team but these 3 and 4 yr olds seem to have it down pat.

The kids used sponges to paint their pot of gold. The finished project used contact paper to hold the gold coins. The gold coins were the pieces of cut up coffee filters the kids colored and sprayed with water previously.

This was my first time using actual paint with the baby. She did so good and had so much fun.

To celebrate the end of March, we took our letter shamrocks and matched them with the other sheet.
This worked a little large motor, fine motor and letter recognition.

The shamrocks on the tree are laminated and are perfect for the baby to take off the tree working her fine motor skills as well. The only one I couldn’t find and had to remake was the letter O.

The kiddos always have access to painting on the chalk board with water, they simply have to ask for water if the cup is empty.

The baby loves the foam letters to chew on but the bigger ones had more fun sticking them to the glass. Doing activities like this help kids learn to share space, which isn’t easy when you are 2.

Ohhh the trains!!! I love watching them piece together the tracks.

It was A’s first time playing Hi Ho Cherry O here and he won both games! I think the game is rigged, I have played it at least a 100x and I never win lol

We managed to get in a few crafts this week.
Kids got to work with fun shaped hole punchers.
They helped make their own oobleck to take home.
They had a choice of different shapped gourds and then decorated them with strips of orange, green and yellow paper. I love how different each one looks and how long each kid wants to work on their projects.

This week has been such a change in the weather. Sadly our outside time is now dropped down to just over an hour and really depends on how long my morning napper stays asleep.

When it’s cold and wet but I knew the kids and Nala needed to get out and run is when I break out the soccer net.

There is always something different getting played with. The track on the floor is at least 14yrs old!

Kids were able to make their own fall tree with fun colored leaves.

Coffee filters with markers and spray bottle
Cardboard cut out of trees
Stick glue

The orange balls was my attempt at making their own pumpkin with yarn. The kids had fun and that’s all that matters.
