There are moments when members of our team go far beyond their daily responsibilities to make sure a patient feels heard, supported, and truly cared for. To recognize those meaningful efforts, we created the HOPE (Helping Our Patients with Ease) Award.

The HOPE Award honors team members who go above and beyond to bring comfort, calm, and reassurance to our patients during some of life’s most uncertain moments. Cancer can make the world feel overwhelming—but there are those among us who have a special gift for easing that burden. Whether through a kind word, a listening ear, or simply being present, they help our patients feel supported, safe, and cared for. These individuals don’t just provide care—they provide peace of mind. They help our patients breathe a little easier.

We are proud to recognize our first three HOPE Award recipients, who truly embody the heart of what this honor represents: Maddie Grisham, Assistant Office Manager; Alyssa McDonald, RN; and Shawna Thacker, Lead Financial Counselor.
