I ave received a few calls asking me to explain exactly what a Support Home does.
Our support homes are a residential program that provides people with intellectual/developmental disabilities a stable home environment. Our program is designed to allow a person to live with a family or individual without disabilities. The focus of our program is to get away from constantly changing staff situations. It gives the person an opportunity to become part of a new or extended family.
Support homes work for a medicaid wavier provider and receive wages for taking care of the person. Hot Springs Family First Care manages the homes doing background checks and quarterly home inspections. HSFFC requires each home be trained in behavior analysis.
If you are interested in becoming a Support Home or if you have a loved one you think would benefit from our services please reach out to Debbie at 501-251-4173
