The holidays can be a difficult time for those in treatment and recovery. Many are away from their family, rebuilding their lives, and working hard to stay on a new path. Christmas in Recovery is our way of reminding them that they are not alone.

Our Overdose Response Team is collecting donations to provide a warm holiday meal and thoughtful gifts for individuals in treatment this Christmas. Every dollar helps remind someone that hope and community are powerful gifts, too.

Your donation, no matter the size, helps us show that recovery is worth celebrating and that our community stands behind those choosing a better life. Together we can make this Christmas a little brighter for those working towards healing and hope.

Hot Springs School District’s Drug Free Youth Coalition blessed our hearts so much last week! For Red Ribbon Week they partnered with the Hot Springs Police Department for “Operation Recovery”. They provided backpacks full of toiletries and necessities for our men. Each backpack had a handwritten letter for our men encouraging them to keep going.

This has been one of the coolest, most meaningful experiences to date for our facility. Our men were so grateful. Most have children of their own that they’re working to restore their relationships with, so this hit home in the best way!

I’m not sure if these kids know how big of an impact they just made on our men! You never know how one act of kindness could change the entire trajectory of someone’s life.

Keep being amazing kiddos! God’s got big plans for y’all!

To date this is one of the most beautiful, most meaningful things that has ever happened for our facility! You kiddos are world changers!! Thank you!!!

Students from Hot Springs World Class High School donated 40 care packages for residents at Shalom Recovery Center that included toiletries and handwritten notes of encouragement.

It’s a beautiful thing to see our men healing and worshipping together.

They’re able to lay down the pride and say worshiping the King is the most important thing in that moment.

They’re coming into agreement with their true identity. The MEN that Jesus made them to be. ♥️

We are so honored that Shalom Recovery Centers has received a 2025 Giving Tree grant from the Hot Springs area of the Arkansas Community Foundation! This grant will enable us to provide clothing, toiletries, and other necessities for our clients when they enroll in the program, thus empowering them to begin their recovery journey with confidence and dignity. We are grateful to ACF for supporting the work of Shalom and for consistently working to strengthen Arkansas communities!

HSPD is excited to partner with Hot Springs High School’s Drug Free Youth Coalition for their Red Ribbon Week project. Operation Recovery is a community driven program led by the department’s Overdose Response Team. We are proud to partner with the youth coalition to give them an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way and learn about our local recovery community.
