📅 Today marks the first solar eclipse of 2026!

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Earth experiences a stunning annular solar eclipse, also known as a “Ring of Fire” Eclipse — when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, but doesn’t completely cover the Sun’s disk. The result? A glowing fiery ring around the Moon as the Sun peeks out from behind! 🔥🌒

🔭 Why it’s special?

✨ This eclipse happens when the Moon is slightly farther from Earth in its orbit, so it looks just a bit too small to fully cover the Sun. That’s exactly what creates the dramatic “Ring of Fire.”

✨ Only a narrow path in Antarctica will see the full ring; most of the world will only get a partial view.
