❤️ February is American Heart Month!

Nearly half of U.S. adults have high blood pressure, a leading risk factor for heart disease and stroke. Luckily, small steps like staying active, eating well, and monitoring your blood pressure numbers can make a big difference. Check out the links below from the CDC to learn what to know, and how to talk with your doctor about managing your blood pressure. Take care of your heart, it’s the only one you’ve got!❤️

We want to take a moment to highlight this amazing individual: Caleb Massey! 👏

Caleb is the Quality Improvement Director at HSHP, and over the past few weeks, he’s been working double-time to keep our staff and community healthy and safe. From monitoring extreme winter weather to helping develop new protocols with measles on the rise, his dedication does not go unnoticed. Although he’s based at the Mashburn Center, Caleb looks out for all 150+ HSHP employees.

We truly couldn’t do this work without him - thank you, Caleb!

Yesterday was National Sticker Day - who knew?! 🎉

Luckily, stickers are one thing we’re never short on at HSHP. We know a trip to the doctor can feel a little scary sometimes, especially for our youngest patients. That’s why we keep the stickers ready and the smiles coming.

When you bring your little ones to Hot Springs Health Program, they’ll find friendly faces, compassionate care, and a team of professional providers who make sure they’re in the very best hands. Stickers included. 💙✨

Happy National Pharmacist Day!

Today, we proudly celebrate and appreciate our incredible pharmacists, whose expertise, compassion, and dedication make a true difference in the lives of our patients every single day.

Pharmacists are essential members of the healthcare team, ensuring medications are safe and effective, answering questions, offering guidance, and being a trusted resource for healthier living.

Join us in thanking our pharmacist for all they do! If you have a pharmacist in your life, take some time and show them a little extra love today!

UPDATED for clarity: At Hot Springs Health Program, we do our best to be a one-stop shop for your healthcare needs. That’s why 3 out of 4 of our clinics: Mashburn, Mars Hill, and Hot Springs, offer limited on-site X-ray imaging.

For our rural communities, this can mean fewer referrals, less travel, quicker answers, and faster treatment. X-ray availability is determined by your provider based on your medical concern, and in some cases, a referral to an outside imaging center may be recommended.

Please note that we do not offer pediatric X-rays at our clinics.
Our goal is always to remove barriers to care and help patients receive timely, high-quality healthcare, close to home 🏠

🩸 January is National Blood Donor Month 🩸

This month is dedicated to honoring the generous individuals who donate blood, as they truly give the gift of life. Because winter often brings illness, bad weather, and busy holiday schedules, blood donations tend to drop, though the need for blood remains high.

Did you know that a single donation can save multiple lives?
Many patients, from trauma victims to cancer patients to those needing surgery, rely on a stable blood supply to survive.

If you’ve never donated before (or haven’t in a while), this is the perfect time to give. Together, we can help ensure hospitals have what they need and give hope to countless people in need!

If you’re able, perhaps consider donating blood this month. And if you already donate, thank you. Please share this post to help spread the word.
