❄️ Due to icy and unsafe road conditions, SAILS will be closed on Monday, January 26th.

The safety of our consumers, staff, and community always comes first. We will continue to monitor conditions and will update everyone as soon as we have information on when we will reopen.

If you need shelter or your heat is not working, there is no need to suffer! These places will be open as emergency shelters during our winter storm this weekend! Please stay warm and safe!

Ahead of the forecasted winter storm, we urge alll residents to prepare for what might come. Our prayer is that everyone is safe and warm during this anticipated storm. If you need help call 911 or the local number at 8707634411 for emergencies.

Starting Thursday, January 22, the Hot Springs Community Resource Center (CRC) located at 109 Hobson Avenue will open as an emergency shelter and will remain open through at least next Friday, Jan. 30.

The CRC will also be open during daytime hours for individuals seeking day shelter. During this time, the CRC will provide breakfast snacks, lunch, and dinner.

The bed capacity of the facility is limited to 112 individuals and runs on a first come, first-served basis. Guests should arrive at 5:00 p.m. for check-in.

Families with children will be asked to contact Potter’s Clay, at 501-624-1366, which will serve family units with children under the age of 10.

**************Warming Center opening in Jacksonville starting Friday, January 23, 2026, once the temperature drops below 30 degrees at New Commandment Church of God in Christ. If you know of anyone in the Jacksonville area that needs a warm place to stay during this weekend winter weather. Please let them know about the New Commandment Church of God in Christ (703 S. James St- Jacksonville) will be the location from 6p-8am.*******************

Did you know there are four ways to apply for SNAP benefits? You can go online to access.arkansas.gov to apply for benefits, check the status of your application, upload documents and more! You can also call the DHS call center at 1-855-372-1084 to speak with a representative live over the phone. Finally, you can go to your local county’s DHS office and submit a paper application or mail in your application.
