❗Starting this year, a new federal rule removes the cap on repaying Advance Premium Tax Credits (APTC).❗
This means that if your actual income ends up higher than what you estimated during enrollment, you may be required to repay the full difference when you file your taxes.
To help our community understand this change and get prepared for tax season, we are sharing this short video that walks through what you can do now to avoid surprises later. Connect for Health Colorado
This includes:
☑Reporting income changes as soon as they happen
☑Adjusting your monthly APTC amount throughout the year if your financial situation shifts
☑Estimating your income as accurately as possible during the enrollment process
☑Saving your Form 1095‑A and understanding tax reconciliation with Form 8962
At Grand County Rural Health Network, we don’t want anyone to navigate this alone. Our team is here to support you, answer questions, and help you stay covered with confidence.
