Position Available: Optometric Technician
We are looking for a motivated individual who learns quickly and has great professional and friendly interactive skills. 15 hours per week. This position involves working with patients of all ages to perform eye care testing, gathering and recording important health information, scheduling appointments, assisting with glasses selection and contact lens education, performing simple bookkeeping and other administrative duties, and assisting the doctor in caring for our patients. Good computer skills are necessary. Applicants in or entering the healthcare field are preferred, however, we will train the right applicant. COVID-19 Announcement
During Phase 1 reopening of the State of Maine our office will reopen starting Monday, May 4th to scheduled patients and patients who have made arrangements to pick up glasses or contact lenses. Our door will be locked while seeing patients in order to keep the recommended social distancing, but our staff will be happy to assist you curbside. You can call the office at 521-5233, Monday-Thursday, from 8am-4pm to make appointments, payments, and arrangements to come in to pick out and purchase glasses as well as to order contact lenses. During this time it is also required that you wear a face covering if you enter the office and that you stay at home if you have any symptoms of contagious illness such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, etc… Due to the shortage of medical masks nationwide, we are unable to provide you with a mask so we ask that you wear your own face covering from home. We are excited to see you again and look forward to serving all of your eye care needs!

Precision Eye Care Announcement to Patients: COVID-19 Virus
In order to comply with CDC and Maine Optometric Association recommendations regarding limiting exposure to the COVID-19 virus, Precision Eye Care will temporarily close effective Saturday, March 21, 2020. To help serve our patients we will dispense eye wear by appointment only. If you have urgent eye problems such as eye pain, sudden change in vision, sudden loss of vision, eye injury, or another urgent issue, please call and leave a voice message at 207-521-5233. Messages will be checked each morning Monday-Friday and we will be in touch with you to discuss your symptoms and establish a plan.
If you have ordered glasses or contact lenses and they are expected to arrive within the next week, please leave a voice message and we will coordinate a specific time for you to pick them up. If you are running low on contact lenses, please leave a voice message and we will call you back to discuss placing an order. If you have questions or concerns about an eye issue or product related to Precision Eye Care, reach out to us. If you leave a voice message, we will return your call. We want to serve you and are still committed to serving the eye care needs of our community. We are hopeful this will be a short interruption of normal services and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
