Haydel Family Practice is looking to hire a certified medical assistant to assist us with providing quality care to our growing patient population. Job responsibilities to include greeting patients and escorting them to examination room, recording patient medical histories and chief complaints, performing preliminary physical tests such as blood pressure, weight and temperature, documenting clinical notes in electronic medical record system and completing all prescription requests using e-prescribing software, and drawing up and administering injections and immunizations when indicated.

Our clinic is now accepting patient appointments. We have full internet, telephone and faxing capabilities at this time. Our current hours of operation are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday and our office is still temporarily located at 131 Corporate Drive in Houma. We are looking for a full time phlebotomist to assist in our in-office lab and is willing to learn how to do routine x-rays. A minimum of 2 years healthcare experience is required.

Our office sustained significant damage from Hurricane Ida. We have relocated our services temporarily to 131 Corporate Drive in Houma (the old Houma Urgent Care building). We are operating as a walk-in clinic only at this time from 8am to 4pm. If you need to see one of our physicians, we welcome you to just show up at our temporary location. Our clinic has been damaged from Hurricane Ida. We are working to get services back up and running as soon as possible so we can once again take care of our community. We are now available to hold telehealth video calls for those who need medical assistance while putting themselves at the least risk possible. To our valued Haydel Family Practice family:

Our office remains OPEN at this time in regards to COVID-19 (coronavirus).

The safety, health and well-being of our patients, guests and staff are of the highest priority. We will continue to follow CDC and governmental policies regarding the latest developments related to the Coronavirus.

If you think you have fever, a cough, or have flu-like symptoms, please call our office hotline at 985-876-2176 before coming to our office to be triaged / screened by one of our staff over the phone. Please help us to lower the chance of spreading any illness.

REGARDING OFFICE VISITS: The risk of exposure is always greater when our patients, parents and/or siblings gather in the reception area. We are asking that accompanying parents, siblings, spouses etc. wait outside the office or in your vehicle while we provide services to our scheduled patients. If the patient is a child or an elderly person, we will allow no more than one person to accompany them in the exam room for the appointment.

We are working hard to put sanitary protocols in place to combat the spread of infection. We will continue to provide a clean and disinfected clinic for our patients.
