This incredible patient, Sandi Gaudet, gave me one of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever received - a handcrafted wooden cross wrapped in rusted barbed wire, symbolizing the suffering Jesus endured. When she placed it in my hands, I truly got chills.

Sandi understands suffering in her own way. I treat her with eye injections for retinal disease, but because of her strength and perseverance, her vision remains strong.
