Myth vs Fact Monday!
MYTH: You only need sunglasses when it's very bright outside
FACT: Sunglasses should be used whenever you are outside to protect against UV rays, which can damage eyes even on cloudy days
MYTH: 20/20 vision means you have perfect, healthy eyes
FACT: 20/20 refers only to the sharpness of vision at a distance. You can have 20/20 vision and still have serious, silent eye diseases like glaucoma or retina issue
MYTH: Eating carrots will improve your eyesight
FACT: Carrots are rich in Vitamin A, which is essential for eye health, but they will not improve your vision or allow you to stop wearing glasses
MYTH: Using wetting drops cures dry eyes
FACT: Dry eyes are a chronic condition where the tear gland does not make enough tears. Using wetting drops will make the eyes feel better for a few minutes, but will not solve the problem. It's like a band-aid for your dry eye issues
