The University of Houston Health Research Institute is conducting groundbreaking research to screen for breast cancer in breastmilk.
Postpartum breast cancer has the highest incidence in African American and Hispanic women with more than 1 pregnancy.
My name is Dr. Sharifa Glass, and I am a pediatrician and lactation consultant. I am assisting the primary researcher (Dr. Karami) with enrolling 10 African-American and 10 Hispanic lactating women that are 30-45 years of age into the study. Your contribution is a ONE-TIME sample of 1-2 ounces of fresh breast milk that will be dropped off at the UH Main Campus. In return, you will receive a $25 Gift Card and involvement in the development of this groundbreaking non-invasive screening test that will change lives.
Call the number on the flyer (713-743-5753) to enroll. Feel free to share this info.
