The 147th Medical Group, Texas Air National Guard, continues to support our brothers and sisters in the armed services. Today, Master Sergeant Rossomando, along with others from our team, are providing immunizations against COVID-19 to members of the 23rd Marine Regiment.

The Airmen of the 147th Medical Group really shined this weekend! The responded on very short notice of vaccine availability, and modified their Sunday schedule to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to the 147th Attack Wing. The 147 MDG provided this important countermeasure to help ensure our Wing is ready to serve when called, anywhere in the world. In doing so, the 147 MDG received the distinction of being the first National Guard unit in the State of Texas to conduct their own COVID-19 mass immunization program. Good job, airmen!

Welcome aboard, Airman Basic Thompson! He is joining the 147th Medical Group as our newest Dental Technician. He will be serving the United States of America and the State of Texas while he learns new skills as a dental assistant. The Air National Guard will pay for his education AND provide him with a salary while he is in school.

Look who came to visit! Chief of the ANG Medical Enlisted Force and our former Medical Group Superintendent, Chief Master Sergeant Faith Federspiel, came in on her day off to say hi and use our facilities to moderate the ANG Quarterly Telecon. She is still a Texas Guardsman at heart and we are really proud of her.

Congratulations to the Airmen of the 147th Attack Wing, who were recently presented with the Air Force Meritorious Unit Award!

The Meritorious Unit Award is awarded to Air Force active duty, Reserve, and Guard units for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding achievement or service in direct support of combat operations for at least 90 continuous days during the period of military operations against an armed enemy of the United States.

Congratulations, Senior Airman Anderson! She has been deployed for the past 8 months to support the US Government and State of Texas emergency response for COVID-19. She enjoys serving her State and Country so much that she reenlisted today. We are thankful for her passion to help others. She plans on attending medical school, and we are hopeful that one day we will count her as one of our flight surgeons or Critical Care Air Transport physicians.

The 147th Medical Group is looking for a Health Systems Technician! This is a full-time, Active Guard Reserve position.

Our ops tempo is high, but your impact made on the Air National Guard and the 147th Attack Wing missions will be great and very rewarding! You will be afforded the opportunity to support high visibility programs that will undoubtedly open more doors for you in the future.

The Houston area is a really fun and exciting place to live and raise a family. The food, museums, rodeos, and other cultural events in Texas are a few of many things for everyone to enjoy!

We are looking for an individual who is a US Air Force Aerospace Medical Service Craftsman or Superintendent (4N071 or 4N091), and has a rank of Master Sergeant/E-7 or Senior Master Sergeant/E-8. We will consider an immediately promotable Technical Sergeant/E-6.
