🎉 The B.I.R.T.H. Fair is more than a gathering — it’s a one-stop celebration of family.

The Educational Rooms give you tools to feel confident during pregnancy, birth, and parenting!

Meanwhile, the rest of the event is buzzing with fun: kids’ activities, henna, balloon animals, & face painting, raffle giveaways, vendors, swag bags, family, fashion show, and community awards!

✨️ Introducing this year's B.I.R.T.H. Fair Leadership Team!✨️

Meet Pat Jones, RN, CNM, Founder of the Annual B.I.R.T.H. Fair!

Pat has been a midwife almost 40 years, assisting more than 2000 babies into the world. She is the founder and president of B.I.R.T.H., a non-profit organization of parents, midwives, physicians, childbirth educators, doulas, professional labor support, and lactation consultants.

Her desire has been to bring education and empowerment to families, whether during birthing or raising their children.

Thank you for turning your vision into reality. 💐

✨️ Introducing this year's B.I.R.T.H. Fair Leadership Team!✨️

Meet Christine Diaz Sponsor & Vendor Coordinator for this year's 21st Annual B.I.R.T.H Fair!

Christine is a long-time supporter and volunteer. Her first BIRTH Fair was in 2005, when she volunteered in the maternity fashion show, and she has been involved ever since.

After experiencing the empowerment of having her three children at home with a midwife, she became dedicated to helping others learn about their birth options and supporting the right of every birthing person to shape their own experience.

Outside of her work with BIRTH Fair, Christine has been active in community media, co-hosting KPFT’s 'Voices at Work' for several years. She currently works full-time, enjoys fitness, and is a fan of Abbott Elementary.

She is grateful to her partner, Gordon, for supporting her ongoing commitment to BIRTH Fair and its mission.

Meet JacQue Colson-Smith, Social Media Coordinator for this year's 21st Annual B.I.R.T.H Fair!

JacQue (jack-KWEE) is a Midwife in Training, Birth Assistant, Body Ready Method Pro, and Doula.

As a Body Ready Method Pro, she is trained to assess the pregnant body from head to toe, identify imbalances, and offer personalized movements that restore balance, ease discomfort, and support a smoother birth experience.

She looks forward to offering holistic, empowering midwifery care to the community in the proud legacy of her Grand-Midwife ancestors when she completes her midwifery education.

Beginning next year, JacQue will also be offering Body Ready Birth classes, a whole-body, whole-person, holistic approach to preparing pregnant people and their partners for birth—so stay tuned!

She is excited about BIRTH Fair because she is passionate about empowered, transformational childbirth experiences--as it is your divine right 😉.
