Additionally, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a New Jersey Certified School Counselor. I completed my Bachelors Degree in Psychology at Rutgers University- New Brunswick and Masters Degree in Counseling in Educational Settings with an advanced certification in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University. I have 10 years of experience in the mental health field ranging from partial hospitalization settings and schools to private practices. I am a non-judgmental, open-minded, friendly, & respectful practitioner with a genuine passion to help all people be their best selves! I understand that coming to therapy is a personal choice, so I take a person centered approach when building rapport with my clients. I have an eclectic approach to treatment, which allows me to customize the tools provided for each client's unique goals. I value each and every one of my clients & enjoy being a part of their journeys to personal growth, healing, and wellness. I created Nafs Counseling, PLLC in an effort to virtually expand my services to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities throughout Texas and New Jersey. It’s my passion to provide an accessible space for people who wish to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. In my spare time I enjoy creating art through makeup, traveling & spending time with my friends and family. I consider myself a foodie. My experiences growing up as a minority female and volunteering in community-based organizations allow me to be a culturally competent practitioner. I speak Bengali and possess basic conversational skills in Hindi and Urdu, which allow me a diverse range of counseling opportunities!
