FDA has ordered a recall of online eye exams on telemedicine platform Visibly (formerly known as Opternative). This is AOA advocacy successfully protecting our patients!

"AOA will continue working with federal agencies, Congress and the patient advocacy community in support of the highest standard of care and to further strengthen the doctor-patient relationship," says Jon Hymes, AOA executive director. "This means doing everything possible to ensure that other similar products currently on the market are also held fully accountable."

Online vision test removed from Visibly website after FDA publishes recall notice.

Did you know that the critical period for normal vision development extends from birth to about 2-3 years of age? The presence of any abnormalities during this delicate time could ultimately result in reduced vision and/or eye turns.

Did you know that InfantSee provides FREE comprehensive eye exams for babies during their first year of life to help detect and treat abnormalities early on?

We are fundraising to keep our baby's future sharp and bright - donate below to support InfantSee and spread the word!
