🇯🇲 I wanted to share an update now that is has been a few days and the mud has settled a bit.
Rohan is good, but his community is facing unimaginable hardship. There’s still no power, and no expectations of it returning anytime soon. Cell service is spotty, but thankfully available.
Much of Jamaica has been devastated — once-lush countryside now lies beaten and barren. Every crop has been lost, and all farmers are starting from scratch.
One Rasta said it best when he said: “Everyone is equal now. We all have nothing and are starting over.”
Without power, all frozen meat is spoiling, and raising new chickens without electricity isn’t possible — the baby chicks are dying without heat lamps. Many elderly neighbors are struggling with damaged homes, blocked roads, and failing health. Rohan is doing everything he can to feed and care for them.
Jamaica is now bracing for famine. With no crops, no chickens, and skyrocketing prices, the needs are urgent.
🙏 How You Can Help
So many of you have asked — here’s how we can make a difference:
Pray – Please continue to lift Jamaica and Rohan’s community in your prayers.
🥫Donate Food – Non-perishable items are a huge need right now:
Canned protein (tuna, mackerel, sardines, salmon, canned beans)
Rice, flour, sugar, oil
Canned fruits & vegetables
Peanut butter & jelly
Pancake mix (just add water) & syrup
Mac & cheese
Cereal, protein bars, cereal bars
💚 Other essentials:
Diapers & wipes
Formula
Feminine hygiene items
Portable chargers (urgent need) as people are having to pay others to charge their phones and electronics.
A GENERATOR – if we can get one to Rohan, the entire community will benefit.
✈️ We’re collecting items now and hope to send them to Jamaica before November 28, while a portion of the import duty fees are waived.
If God makes a way, Korey or I will go personally to help deliver supplies and support the community.
💸 Although a portion of the import fees are being waived, we will have to pay to get the donated items shipped to Jamaica. The cost will depending on the number of containers we are able to fill. Also it is more economical for Rohan to purchase some items there in Jamaica so he will be getting what he can.

Thank you all for your love, prayers, and generosity. Together, we can bring hope and light back to Jamaica.
