💬 "I Didn’t Know How to Ask for Help" 💬

I always thought I was strong enough to handle everything on my own. Whenever life got hard, I’d tell myself, “Just push through. You’re fine.” But deep down, I wasn’t fine.

The little things started to feel overwhelming. Getting out of bed felt like climbing a mountain. I couldn’t focus at work, and my relationships started to feel distant. I thought, “This is just how life is. Everyone feels this way.”

But one day, everything hit me at once. I was sitting in my car after work, staring at the steering wheel, and I couldn’t stop crying. I didn’t even know why. That’s when I realized—I couldn’t do this alone anymore.

It took me weeks to gather the courage to talk to someone. I worried people would think I was weak, or that I was just being dramatic. But when I finally opened up, something unexpected happened: I felt relief.

A friend listened without judgment. They encouraged me to reach out to a counselor. It was terrifying at first, but when I scheduled my first session with Flourish Mental Health, something shifted. The moment I walked through their doors, I felt a sense of relief. I wasn’t alone anymore—I was in a place where people truly understood and wanted to help.
