My little familiar, Rosemary.

All night long. Draping herself along my stomach, hips, back, head. She tells me what I'm neglecting before I even realize it based on where she places herself. Purring & doing her best to heal all the inflammation and nervousness that builds all day long.

The woman who took care of me in my first year of life, my nanny, found her way to me over Thanksgiving. She told me how -- when I cried as a baby at night -- our cat, Morris, would jump into my crib to sleep with me.

What would we do without our warm, wise comforts?
