Seguimos con Miriam Damaris Maldonado.
Es la gerente de El Proyecto de la literatura puertorriqueña/The
Puerto Rican Literature Project, financiado por Mellon y alojado en el Centro Latino de Humanidades Digitales de Estados Unidos (USLDH) de la Universidad de Houston. Es poeta, escritora y trabajadora social puertorriqueña, activista, bailadora, curandera y fundadora de la organización feminista de Houston, Colectiva Feminista Colibrí. También sirve a la comunidad como trabajadora social y es miembro del Colectivo de Grupos Puertorriqueños de Houston. Su libro, Enraizada fue publicado en 2022; su traducción al inglés, Rooted, se publicó al año siguiente. En 2023 recibió el premio Houston BIPOC Artist Award. Maldonado recibió una Maestría en Asuntos de Mujeres de la Universitat de Barcelona y una Maestría en Escritura Creativa de la Universidad Sagrado Corazón, Puerto Rico.
