✨ LEAKY GUT SYMPTOMS ✨

Leaky gut and food sensitivities go hand in hand. Naturally, you might blame the food itself and choose to remove or avoid it… but this isn’t actually getting to the root of the issue.
Instead start by asking what’s causing you to react to these foods. 🧐
*hint* The underlying theme here is immune activation and inflammation. 🔥
Leaky gut is a condition where the junctions of the intestinal lining become damaged and “open up”, making them hyperpermiable or leaky.
🚩 This is a problem.
Large molecules of undigested foods, toxins and bacteria slip through and into places they shouldn’t be like tissues and the bloodstream. Think of it as a coffee filter with huge holes in it, allowing grounds to slip through- this would cause all kind of havoc for your morning coffee 😝
Our immune system then kicks in to gear (as it was designed to do) attacking these “invaders” in an attempt to remove them and keep us safe. This leads to the formation of antibodies against these foods. 👾
🛑 But wait, if it’s not the food that’s the issue, then what’s causing the gut to become leaky?!
