Why I do what I do.
In the amount of time that I’ve been with the Dignity Memorial Network, I’ve came to realize the importance of my job. I used to be scared of the death and more working at a place where we do death care . As a family service counselor, I took the responsibility of meeting with my families (at need) who recently lost their loved one, and I guide my families through the cemetery, memorialization and after care process .
I also focus on pre need arrangements where I meet with couples and discuss their future arrangements . During our conversation I’m able to answer any concern, question, thought that you may have. I understand it’s scary to talk about death, to think about the death of our loved ones or even our death but you see this is where I come in. We have this conversation now, when you are here and we make your final arrangements before the time of need. Rather than when you’re no longer here and your whole family comes to my funeral home and cemetery to make your final arrangements and spends hours planning your services with the emotional and financial burden. My question to you is , which conversation do you want your family to have ?
