Nov. 13th marks 3 years as an Iyanifa!!! I was so wrapped up in the sanctuary and all the ile activities I didnt have time to post... the 1st reading i ever had said I would have a place where women gathered, be a high priestess and have a lot of God children....and boy all praises to my Queen Mother Iya Monife for speaking my divine destiny over my life...and even more praises to my Iya Sangolade who has guided me directly through my journey of ocha doors and ifa...these pictures are just a few on my journey to initiate to Ifa in ijebu, Ogun State...I left a part of my old self in the backwoods of Africa and I came back to America a new woman....I know i carried generations of ancestors on my back that were determined for me to return home...I had so many magical moments during my initiation and one of the most magical was dipping this body in the Atlantic ocean and I heard loud and clear "FINALLY....WE MADE IT BACK, I KNEW WE WOULD MAKE IT BACK!!!" and that heavy load i was carrying my whole life was instantly lighter as many ancient ancestors were dropped off right where they were taken from so many generations ago....I laugh, I dance, I love and I serve in honor of those who prayed and eboed and hoodoo and voodooed and all the things to get me to this spot! I am still a baby in this tradition, a lot has come at me fast and I am still learning EVERYDAY but through obedience I know I am doing the job I agreed to do...to help set as many people free by giving them the opportunity to learn to live according to their destiny!!! Here is to 3 years into a lifetime with IFA....ASE ASE ASEOOOOOO!!!!
