Settle in, friends, for a holiday tale from the merry lands of North Houston and South Houston, where two brave hospice teams journeyed to a warm and bustling Italian restaurant to celebrate the most magical season of the year.
The moment the doors opened, the smell of pasta, bread, and pure Christmas spirit welcomed everyone inside. Twinkling lights glowed, plates clattered, and somewhere in the corner an elf hat was slipping off someone’s head while no one admitted it.
And then, through the crowd, Santa himself appeared.
Well… our version of Santa.
Luke, in full red-and-white glory, greeting the room like he had just stepped out of the North Pole’s HR department.
Joe, Shandy, and Bre jumped into the festivities too, each bringing their own brand of holiday magic, whether it was a scarf, an LED necklace, or the kind of smile that says yes, I’m here and yes, I’ve already had breadsticks. And right on cue, the incomparable Dr. Valdez arrived, as steady and legendary as ever.
Seeing our North and South Houston teams together was the real gift. This group works hard, plays hard, and somehow manages to look good doing both. These are some of the most dedicated people you’ll ever meet, and days like this remind us why Concho Hearts feels like family.
Merry Christmas from all of us.
We treat the person, not just a diagnosis, and every now and then, we celebrate like we run the North Pole.
