What is a birth plan and how can a doula help you create your ideal plan?
A birth plan is a way for you to communicate your wishes to your birthing team during and after the birth of your baby.

A birth plan helps you advocate for your own body. Creating a birth plan empowers you to become informed of all your options during labor.

With many birthing parents, just having their wishes acknowledged is important. Research shows having a supportive care team makes the experience more positive even if things don't go as planned

Doula's sole purpose is to provide physical, emotional, and informational support during labor and birth without doing anything medical.

Doulas are not just for homebirth or more natural delivery despite what some may think. You hire a doula to support your birth journey whatever that may be, doulas are so important even if you are having a hospital birth or planned cesarean. We are here to support you!

• One wet diaper for every day of life (6+ diapers per day by Day 4)
• Yellow stool by Day 5 (no meconium)
• Breast softened at end of feeding
• Baby seems relaxed/asleep at end of feeding (hands unclench)
