My testimony, why I Started a Home Care Agency
For over 30 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving the elderly community — including 12 years in a long-term care facility. That experience opened my eyes to how families care for their loved ones, and what’s often missing: compassion, connection, and genuine respect.
My journey began with my grandmother. I was her helper growing up — running errands, doing small tasks around her home, and being her transportation since she didn’t drive. Those experiences shaped my heart for seniors and taught me the importance of patience, presence, and purpose.
That same passion led me to start a 55+ senior gathering that ran for seven years, providing friendship, fun, and a sense of belonging for older adults in the community.
To me, caregiving is more than a business — it’s a ministry. It’s about making sure every senior feels loved, valued, and treated with dignity.
And now, when it comes to hiring caregivers, I look for the best qualified  person. This work gives me the opportunity to employ single mothers, empower seniors to care for other seniors, and ensure our caregivers are paid fairly and appreciated for the difference they make every day.
Because at the end of the day, caregiving is about people — those we serve and those who serve alongside us — and creating a circle of compassion that makes everyone feel seen, valued, and respected.
