While this graphic may be a bit drastic… we probably all feel this way occasionally. There are a lot of people who will tell you to break up with your scale. And while for some - this is very good advice, how about we just tell our scale we are going to see other people. Have an open relationship. Because knowing your weight IS a good metric. But it’s just that. One single metric. Don’t forget all of the other things you can use to gauge your progress on your weight-loss journey.
How do your clothes fit?
How much muscle definition have you gained?
What do other people say to you? (If they tell you that you look great - I’m pretty confident they aren’t lying!)
So maybe the scale isn’t giving you the number you want. But remember so many factors go into that number that it isn’t as reliable as our brain (and marketing) might tell us.
What is one non-scale victory you turn to in order to gauge your progress?
