The visible changes in her lip support and profile are only part of the story. Having lived with headaches and jaw pain for years due to her misaligned bite also ruined her teeth and smile. This was a non-surgical overbite and retruded chin case in which correcting her bite non-surgically allowed Dr. Konig to restore her teeth and profile to beautiful esthetics and to be pain free.

Worn teeth are most often a sign of TMJ issues and having a misaligned bite and possibly airway issues. This is a case of severe wear in which we realigned the bite and jaw prior to correcting the cosmetic concerns. This realignment provides comfort, long term health, and esthetics. Conventional cosmetic dentistry will not achieve this.

Alternatives to Jaw Surgery: There are other approaches

Whether or not you have TMJ pain or facial asymmetry or an overbite or underbite, there are some excellent options to major jaw surgery.

This is a patient who was told that jaw surgery was her only option by multiple professionals. She was unhappy with the sunken look and aging appearance of her face. After having braces and then Invisalign she felt these had made the appearance worse.
