The scale is not the measure of your progress. Especially in midlife. Save this.πŸ‘ŒπŸΎ

Your weight fluctuates 2 to 5 lbs daily based on water, hormones, food volume, and digestion. A flat week on the scale can coexist with genuine fat loss.

What tells the real story: body composition. Losing fat while maintaining muscle is a win whether the scale moves or not.

Non-scale victories are not consolation prizes:
Clothes fitting differently Β· More energy Β· Better sleep Β· Improved labs Β· Feeling stronger

These are real health outcomes. Track them.

I don't recommend anything I haven't personally tried. So I tried Aerolase laser on myself. Here's my real review.

Aerolase is a 1064nm Nd:Yag laser that targets pigmentation, texture, redness, and overall tone. I offer it at Hibiscus β€” and I wanted to know exactly what my patients experience.

The honest truth:
πŸ”Ή Treatment took about 20 minutes
πŸ”Ή Mild warmth β€” zero pain
πŸ”Ή Zero downtime β€” I went right back to work
πŸ”Ή Skin looked more even and luminous within a few days
πŸ”Ή Works beautifully for hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and menopausal skin changes
πŸ”Ή Safe for all skin tones

Expert tip: Combine with a Hydrafacial for an instant glow ✨

Women have testosterone too, and it's rarely addressed.
If you've been dealing with persistent fatigue, low motivation, decreased s*x drive, or difficulty maintaining muscle despite consistent effort, low testosterone could be playing a role.

This carousel covers:
πŸ“Œ What testosterone actually does in women
πŸ“Œ How and when it declines
πŸ“Œ The symptoms of low T that get dismissed as "just aging"
πŸ“Œ How it's tested and what treatment looks like

This is one of the most overlooked pieces of women's hormone care. Think you may be experiencing symptoms of low testosterone? Book a wellness consult via link in bio.

As a busy physician entrepreneur wife and mom, living a healthy lifestyle is hard! Here are a few longevity practices I've incorporated into my routine:

βœ… 25 - 30 g protein at every meal - greek yogurt, meats, dairy, nuts, beans, quinoa, salmon are some of my faves
βœ… Resistance training 3x/week - if you dont have time to workout, wrist and ankle weights do wonders
βœ… 7-8 hours of sleep - this is probably the hardest to get but the most important of them all

What's one habit you want to start this month? Let me know below πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

Gaining weight in perimenopause and NOTHING is working? You're not failing. Your physiology changed.

Here's what's actually happening:
➑️ Estrogen drops β†’ fat shifts to your belly (hormonal, not caloric)
➑️ Insulin resistance increases β†’ your body stores more, burns less
➑️ Cortisol hits harder β†’ stress now has a metabolic price tag
➑️ Muscle loss slows your metabolism without you realizing it

The approach that worked at 32 is not designed for the body you're in at 42. That's not failure. That's a signal to update the strategy.

Tox vs. filler after 40 and why the answer is almost never one or the other. 🌸 Save this.

Here's what most people don't realize: by midlife, facial changes aren't just about wrinkles. Bone density decreases. Fat pads shift downward. Volume disappears from the cheeks, temples, and under-eye area. Wrinkle treatments alone don't address any of that.

Tox β€” relaxes the muscles creating dynamic lines. In your 40s, this is as much about prevention as correction. Starting now slows permanent line formation significantly.

Filler β€” restores lost volume and structural support. The goal in midlife is restoration, not augmentation. Returning what was there, not adding what wasn't. That's what keeps results looking natural.

Most women need a conversation about both β€” and the right balance depends on how your face has aged specifically.
That's exactly what a physician-led aesthetic consultation is for.

I'm a physician and here are my thougts on hormone therapy.

The Women's Health Initiative study scared an entire generation of women away from HRT. Here's what most people don't know: it used synthetic hormones, in older women, years past menopause. It was not representative of how we prescribe today.

The current evidence β€” for women who start within 10 years of menopause or before age 60 β€” supports real benefits: heart health, bones, brain, mood, sleep, and quality of life.

Do I think every woman needs HRT? No.
Do I think every woman deserves a real conversation about it? Absolutely.

The most important thing women over 40 can do for their long-term health. And it is not cardio.

Build muscle.
If resistance training is not in your routine, you are missing the most powerful longevity tool available to you.

Muscle is metabolically active. It burns calories at rest. It improves insulin sensitivity. It protects your bones and joints. And it is the number one predictor of functional independence as you age.

You don't need to live in a gym. Two to three days a week + adequate protein (25-30g per meal) is enough to start.

Save this and follow along for more longevity tips.

The GLP-1 guide every patient needs. πŸ“Œ Save this one.

1️⃣ How GLP-1s actually work β€” they slow gastric emptying, reduce appetite signals at the brain level, and improve insulin response. They don't burn fat. They create the conditions for fat loss when the right habits are in place.
2️⃣ Month 1 β€” nausea is common and improves. Protein and hydration are your first priorities. Don't judge results yet.
3️⃣ Month 3 β€” this is the window. Appetite is suppressed. Use it to build the habits that will outlast the medication.
4️⃣ The muscle preservation problem β€” without adequate protein and resistance training, a significant portion of weight lost on a GLP-1 can be muscle, not fat. This worsens your metabolism long-term. It is non-negotiable.

The medication is a tool. The protocol around it determines the outcome.

You are not losing your mind. You are losing estrogen. There is a difference.

Brain fog in perimenopause is real, it is common, and it is almost never talked about.

Estrogen is neuroprotective. When it starts fluctuating β€” which can begin in your late 30s β€” your cognition, memory, and processing speed can all take a hit.

This is not you getting older. This is a hormone shift. And there are things that help.

If this resonates let's see if HRT is right for you β†’ book a consult via the link in bio.
