What an incredible event hosted by Autism Moms of Houston ! 💙 We were honored to be part of their sensory event and to host our very own sensory slime table. On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, CBFL honors the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. King a leader who challenged this nation to move closer to justice, dignity, and true equality for all people.

Dr. King reminded us that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. That truth continues to guide our work as we advocate for people with disabilities to live independently, access essential services, and fully participate in their communities without barriers.

At CBFL, we believe disability justice is civil rights work. It is about equity in housing, healthcare, education, employment, and community access. It is about ensuring that people with disabilities are not left behind but are seen, heard, and empowered.

Today, we reflect and we recommit. We recommit to serving with compassion, leading with integrity, and standing firm in our mission to create a more inclusive and accessible future. Dr. King’s dream lives on through action, and we are proud to carry that work forward every day.

Let us continue to build a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

CBFL is proudly celebrating 50 years of advocacy, action, and impact in the disability community. For five decades, we have worked to ensure people with disabilities have the resources, support, and independence they deserve.
