There is a common misconception that cancer is solely due to our genetics, but for the most part, that isn't true. Only 20% is related to genetics, while 80% of cancers are linked to environmental factors.
Here are some examples of habits that could be doing more harm than you think:
●Relying on ultra-processed foods - Meals packed with additives and preservatives such as BHT, BVO, Potassium Bromate, and Synthetic Dyes
●Using conventional cleaning products - Harsh chemicals such as bleach and fragrance in household cleaners can release toxic fumes into your home.
●Lighting scented candles & using air fresheners – Synthetic fragrances can contain formaldehyde and phthalates—both known carcinogens.
●Skipping a water filter – Tap water can contain heavy metals, chlorine, and other toxins.
●Lack of Exercise – Movement supports detox pathways, boosts immunity, and helps reduce cancer risk. Time to get active!
●Cooking with non-stick pans – PFOAs in non-stick coatings release harmful chemicals when heated.
●Drinking too much alcohol – Drinking less alcohol is better for your overall health.
●Sitting too much – A sedentary lifestyle is linked to higher risks of colon and breast cancer.
●Chronic stress & lack of sleep – Poor sleep and constant stress weaken the immune system, leaving you vulnerable.
Our goal should be focusing on a healthy lifestyle and preventing long-term toxic exposures. You don’t have to be perfect! Small, intentional changes can make a BIG impact over time. 💚
