The Craniofacial and Plastic Surgery Center Houston offers specialized plastic surgery that involves skull and facial bones as they relate to the surrounding structure of the face. Dr. Eric Payne, a craniofacial and plastic surgeon, specializes in the treatment of traumatic injuries, congenital deformities or birth defects, and reconstruction surgery from defects as a result of cancer surgery. Dr. Payne treats people of all ages and has extensive training in treating children that may have craniofacial disorders.

Last week, Dr. Craig Hobar spoke to the Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons about “LEAP Global Missions – A 37 Year Journey Around the World.”

Dr. Hobar founded LEAP Global Missions in 1991 after seeing firsthand the need for reconstructive surgical care in underserved communities abroad. What started with treating children with cleft lip and palate has grown into decades of international mission work, thousands of life-changing procedures, and ongoing training for local surgeons to help build lasting care.

It’s a privilege to call him both a mentor and a friend.
