Big welcome to LaJohn! Newest member of the Life Fit coaching team! Super excited to have them on board say hello when you see him!
1. How did you get started working out?
Sports have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on the football field, playing from middle school until my junior year, and I’ve been a massive basketball fanatic since I was about 12. I also picked up running at 13 and never looked back. While I’ve always been active, I didn’t get serious about weightlifting until my senior year of high school. Since then, I’ve found my stride with hybrid training, and I love the balance it provides.
2. If you could train with any athlete, coach, or celebrity (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
I would love to train with Michael B. Jordan because Black Panther is what motivated me to start weight training.
3. What’s your favorite workout movement (and why)?
The dumbbell incline bench press is easily my favorite lift; I live for that post-set pump.
4. What’s your go-to song to blast when you need to get hyped for a workout?
Worldwide by Big Time Rush.
5. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to anyone just starting their fitness journey at Life Fit Gym?
Prioritize your foundation: eat well, rest, and stay hydrated. Your body is a direct reflection of your lifestyle. Surround yourself with a community that champions your growth, and never hesitate to reach out for help. You don’t have to walk your journey alone.
