It isn’t always caused by lung problems.

Heart conditions, allergic reactions, infections, and anxiety can all affect breathing.
What matters most is how sudden or severe the symptoms are.

If breathing becomes difficult, fast, or feels different than normal, call 911. EMS crews can assess and provide care right away

Sudden blurred vision can feel unsettling, and sometimes, it’s more than eye strain.

Blurry or cloudy vision that starts quickly can be linked to problems involving the eyes, blood vessels, or the brain.
It may come with double vision, flashing lights, dizziness, or trouble focusing.

If vision changes happen suddenly, worsen, or come with other symptoms like confusion or headache, call 911.
EMS can assess what’s happening and help get care started quickly.

Vision changes are changes in health.

Most people think heart attacks always come with intense chest pain, and that’s not always true.

According to the American Heart Association, silent heart attacks account for about 170,000 of the estimated 805,000 heart attacks each year.

These events can cause mild or unusual symptoms that are easy to miss.

Fatigue. Jaw discomfort. Lightheadedness.

If something feels sudden or out of the ordinary, call 911.
Early EMS care can reduce long-term damage and save lives.

Spring Creek EMS and Spring Creek Fire Department crews are on scene of a reported gas leak in the 24900 block of Zube Road near Roberts Road Elementary School in Hockley. As a precaution, the school was evacuated.

Multiple agencies, including Harris County and Waller County fire marshals, Harris County HazMat, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, are on scene investigating.

Two pediatric patients were transported to a hospital as a precaution due to respiratory complaints.

Officials said the odor was traced to a nearby environmental company reported to be the source and identified as mercaptan, a harmless but foul-smelling sulfur compound added to naturally odorless natural gas as a safety warning.

Fire crews ventilated the building, and the incident was brought under control with no remaining hazards.
