Teaching has always been such a big part of who I am. I grew up with an amazing Mom who is a teacher and I even taught in special education myself for 5 years earlier in my career.

I just didn’t find a full joy in using this gift of mine until I discovered I could teach about topics I am so passionate about and interested in!! 🀍🀍

Childbirth Education is one of my favorite parts of being a Doula. Knowledge and truly understanding the beauty of our bodies as women is so incredibly important!

I can’t wait for my next group class coming up December 16th at πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

The placenta is most commonly known for nourishing the baby, however it is also responsible for several other major roles. The acronym B.R.E.E.D. reminds us of its key functions.

𝐁: 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐒𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐒π₯𝐭𝐞𝐫

The placenta acts as a protective barrier to prevent an abundance of maternally ingested toxins from reaching the fetus.

𝐑: π‘πžπ¬π©π’π«πšπ­π¨π«π²

The placenta brings oxygenated blood to the fetus.

𝐄: π„π§ππ¨πœπ«π’π§πž 𝐨𝐫 π‡π¨π«π¦π¨π§πšπ₯

The placenta becomes partially responsible for producing some of the hormones that support the pregnancy.

The placenta is responsible for removing the waste created by the fetus.

The placenta is responsible for bringing nourishment to the fetus through the umbilical cord.

As we prepare in these next few weeks to welcome our beautiful little twin girls, we want to reach out to all those we know as we did with Monica’s pregnancy and birth to ask this…

How can we pray for you? What is going on in your life that could use some extra shoutouts to Mama Mary and her Blessed Son Jesus? Are there people or situations that surround you or that you know of could use extra prayer?

Comment them here, message or text Isaac and I. We will add these intentions to our list. The intentions will be prayed over during this final stretch of pregnancy and through the labor and delivery of our sweet girls πŸ’•πŸ’•

God can move big mountains through intercessory prayer! Don’t be afraid to let us know how we can pray specifically πŸ’•

And finally, pray for us as we welcome these babies and then as we transition to a family of 6! πŸ’•πŸ’•
