For nearly 90 years in Texas and more than 40 years in Louisiana, Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast (PPGC) was a trusted reproductive health care provider, unbiased sexual health educator, and a passionate advocate for access to essential and affordable health care for all people in the Gulf Coast region.

🚨Important Update🚨 A federal court has allowed the Trump administration's "defunding" of Planned Parenthood to take effect, blocking patients with Medicaid from accessing care in our health centers.

Texas has barred Planned Parenthood from the state's Medicaid program since 2021, but this ruling now means that PPGC can no longer accept Medicaid in our Louisiana health centers, effective immediately.

We know this is devastating for the many Louisianans who rely on Medicaid for affordable care and are now blocked from using their coverage at PPGC in our final weeks of operations.
