Prolonged services billing is complex and the codes and rules to report them vary by payer type. These codes are add-on codes to evaluation and management (E/M) services and are used when a physician or other qualified healthcare professional spends more time with a patient than the time allotted to the E/M code. Houston Academy of Medicine (HAM) is proud to introduce a new grant program for Harris County Medical Society (HCMS) members designed to support innovative programs and projects that advance our mission and reflect our shared vision for a healthier community. This initiative will provide funding to HCMS members whose program or project strengthens the practice of medicine, improves patient care, promotes physician well-being, and enhances public health.
