Meet Our Team | Kevin Nickell, M.D., F.A.C.S.

As a founding partner of Houston Metro Urology, Dr. Kevin Nickell has been providing trusted urologic care to SW Houston since 1996. From routine urology visits to complex surgical cases, he brings decades of knowledge, experience, and advanced training to every patient he treats.

Dr. Nickell’s impressive educational background reflects his lifelong commitment to learning and excellence in patient care. He earned his B.A. in History from Baylor University, attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, and completed his general surgery training at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. He then returned to Houston to complete his urology residency at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by an advanced fellowship in neurourology and voiding dysfunction, neurourology, and female urology.

Recognized as one of Texas Monthly’s “Best Doctors” since 2004, Dr. Nickell is known for both clinical excellence and a compassionate, personable approach that helps patients feel comfortable discussing all types of urologic conditions. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Cathey, and their four children.
