🧩✨ Sensory Friendly Day at Children’s Museum Houston ✨🧩
Looking for a lower-sensory holiday outing? Children’s Museum Houston is hosting a Sensory-Friendly Day, created especially for neurodivergent children and those with sensory sensitivities.
During this event, the Museum transforms into a calmer, more predictable space so kids can explore at their own pace. Families can expect:
A less crowded environment
Lower lights and reduced sound
Extra visual safety signage to support navigation
Designated quiet rooms for breaks
🎅 What’s Happening:
Santa Meet & Greet – Say hello, share holiday wishes, and take a memorable photo (10 a.m. – 1 p.m., Kidtropolis Town Square)
Elf Storytime & Craft – A calm, interactive reading and activity time for all sensory needs (11:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m., Parent Resource Library)
🤝 Community Resource Partners On-Site (10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Kids’ Hall):
Families can connect with organizations supporting sensory needs and development, including ABA services, child development research, developmental screenings, and autism support resources.
