About Dr. Syed M. Nasir

Dr. Syed M. Nasir completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Brooklyn Center, New York University and residency in Anesthesiology at New York University Medical Center, both in New York City.

Dr. Nasir completed a fellowship in Pain Management at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Nasir is a former Director of Chronic Pain Clinic at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center and also an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston.

With more than 17 years of experience, both in private practice and academic institution, Dr. Nasir treats patients using the entire spectrum of pain treatment modalities including optimization of oral medication, transdermal application, central and peripheral nerve blocks.

Dr. Nasir also has experience and special interest in treating geriatric patients suffering from pain.
