I compute quarterly taxes for therapists in my 1099 tax university program, calculating quarterly taxes is not a simple matter, because there are a lot of factors involved. Please stop taking tax advice from other therapists because it’s usually incorrect, incomplete or doesn’t apply to your specific situation. The IRS took an SLP to tax court for writing things off she shouldn’t and her excuse was “other therapists are doing it.” She lost her tax court case, had to pay over $20,000 in back taxes and penalties.
