Think twice if you think your child’s teacher is CPR trained.

Under state law, only six states have laws explicitly requiring classroom teachers to have CPR training or CPR certified.

The staff that’s usually required to be CPR trained are nurses, PE teachers, band leaders, cheerleading coaches, and athletic trainers.

Ask your child’s teacher if they’ve been CPR trained and know how to help a choking victim.

It’s cold outside!

Read this if your child wears puffy jackets in their car seat.

Thick coats like puffy jackets compress instantly in a car crash. The harness may feel snug, but once the jacket squishes, there’s lots of slack.
This can result in head and neck injuries, ejection from the seat, internal injuries.

What should your kids wear instead?
Dress your kids and thin warm layers.
Use fleece, thin down, or long sleeves and a sweater.

You can also buckle them up first and put the coat on backwards over the harness
You can use a blanket or car seat safe poncho.

Keep your kids, warm and safe!
