As a physician, it is very difficult for me to fully assess my patients' lifestyles due to the time constraint of everyone's visit. It would be nice to sit down and talk for an hour about lifestyle modification but it is just not feasible. I do emphasize exercise and its benefits. Unfortunately, motivation is a factor I sometimes cannot control. Hopefully through this community, I will be able to overcome the motivation barrier and help you lead a healthy lifestyle by incorporation of great eating habits and employing exercise. I truly believe that a conversation between a doctor and his/her patient yields better healthcare rather than a quick prescription. These values are engrained into my blood by my grandfather, a well respected and celebrity physician in China (before he passed away). I was raised in an environment of healers. I am the 5th generation of doctors in my family. My mother practices Chinese Medicine with acupuncture and herbs. My viewpoints about medicine in general are a mixture of the eastern and western influence. I aim to provide information and value to the public and will always be honest. Not only that, you will get close glimpses into my life and what being a physician in modern day times is all about. My struggles and victories are real and will be shared with you. I am a lead physician in Walk With a Doc, which is an organization that focuses on walking as a medium to improve communication and thus healthcare between a doctor and his/her patient. The state of healthcare in America is complex.

It’s not until people from other industries look at healthcare like they view their own industry, but they realized how messed up the system can be.

Mark Cuban stated that when he dies on his tombstone, he doesn’t want to be known as the Mavericks owner or a tech giant. He wants to be known as the person who f*ed up the current healthcare system.

He also wants to be known as a guy who’s there for his kids.

I can relate to both.

I keep thinking if public knows what I know about healthcare being a physician, running a businesses healthcare and coaching others who are entrenched im the system, and then somehow makes me a target (which happened with social media censorship and threats before).

I think 2026 is the time to reveal what’s uncommonly talked about.

There isn’t one giant solution, but at least conversations are opening up.

I honestly haven’t been a huge fan of Mark Cuban, but his speech at yesterday is enough to make me question my own reality.
