This past weekend in Oceanside, CA, Dr. Tran Locke delivered an insightful lecture on the overview and clinical manifestations of allergic disease for the AAOA Resident Allergy Accelerator Program (RAPA). PGY-4 residents Taylor Leavitt (top right) and Kevin Li (top left) also participated in RAPA, enjoying a fun-filled weekend of learning and collaboration in otolaryngologic allergy.
In addition, Dr. Locke contributed to the AAOA Annual Meeting, speaking on two dynamic panel discussions:

• “Pardon the Interruption: The Great Debates”
• “Challenges & Conundrums of Aeroallergen Immunotherapy”

Dr. Deepak Mehta, Associate Professor in the Bobby R. Alford Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Texas Children's Hospital, was recently announced as the 2025-2026 President of the Texas Association of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (TAO).
TAO is the primary statewide professional organization in Texas dedicated to the practice of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. It was founded to promote and advance the practice of the specialty and to provide continuing medical education (CME) for its members.

Dr. Meha Fox moderated a scientific session at the annual American Rhinologic Society meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana, this weekend. One of the presenters was Dr. Maria Espinosa, a former BCM Otolaryngology resident (‘24). Dr. Espinosa went on to rhinology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She is now faculty at the University of Colorado. We are so proud of her!
